What we collect

If you create an account, we receive your email address, chosen nickname and sign-in information from the provider you use. If you post a forum story or reply, we store the nickname and text you submit; approved posts are public. Anonymous posts are possible without an account. If you sign up for the first-72-hours checklist, we collect your email address. If you purchase the ebook, the payment provider collects payment information and we use your checkout email and payment status to provide the download. We do not need your full card number. Basic site-use information, such as page visits, referring source, engagement and purchase clicks, helps us understand which pages are useful. Technical logs may also contain device or network information needed to operate and secure the site.

How we use it

We use information to run accounts, review and publish forum submissions, respond to messages, deliver the checklist and ebook, handle purchase questions, keep the site safe and measure site usage. The checklist email is collected to provide the checklist; do not assume it enrols you in a separate newsletter. We do not sell reader email addresses or forum posts.

Who can see it

Approved forum stories and replies, including their chosen display names, are visible to everyone. Pending submissions and reports are visible to moderators. Service providers that host the site, handle sign-in and process payments may process information needed for those services. Social sign-in providers handle information under their own policies. Do not post private details about yourself or other people in a public story.

Retention and your choices

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations and address disputes. You may ask us to review, correct or delete personal information by writing to info@bipolar.today. We may need to retain transaction records where the law requires it. Requests about public posts may require enough information to identify the post and confirm that it is yours. If you are in Australia, the UK or another jurisdiction with privacy rights, tell us which right you wish to exercise and we will respond according to applicable law.

Safety and external links

No internet service can promise absolute security. The site links to external support organizations with their own policies. If you need immediate help, contact local emergency services; do not use a privacy request or forum report for urgent assistance.
